Marvel Studios released Avengers: Endgame in 2019 and since then the MCU feels kind of meaningless now. It’s like the day after prom, you’re not sure what to do now because all of your energy was devoted to such a big event.
Disney has been starving since Covid-19 forced us to stay 6 feet away. The film ‘Black Widow’ was supposed to come out on May 1st, 2020 but has been delayed twice. The next step seems like a no-brainer. Just put the film on Disney + and boom, problem solved. It’s not that easy though, look at what happened to the Mulan remake. Exactly.

DC launched the DC FanDome event to showcase what it has in the works. Think of it like a virtual convention. Teasing films like James Gunn’s ‘The Suicde Squad’, Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ and The Snyder Cut (if you know, you know), DC proved that they’ve learned from their mistakes. It also proved that the Studio did something that Marvel isn’t really known for.
Not only did DC learn from their failures but they listened to the fans. I remember thinking that The Snyder Cut was never coming out but when fans came together to show that they wanted it, DC listened. The DCEU has some huge things coming like the Green Lantern series, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, and The Peacemaker series. If Marvel doesn’t do something fast then their fans are going to migrate. DC is giving the fans what they want, fun movies with quality. Meanwhile Marvel is trying to hold on to the Black Widow film but doing that may cause people to just stop caring. I’m getting close to that, myself.
