Friday Night Tykes is Intense for No Reason

Question, what were you guys doing when you were like 8 or 9? I was watching cartoons and starting to get into comics. Some kids, like my friends and brothers were outside playing basketball or football. However, other kids took it a step further and got involved in clubs or sports teams. Side note I was in a chess club when I was in 6th grade and I’m open to any challenges to hit me up for an L. Anyways, it’s pretty common to see kids on some kind of football team, especially in America. When you think about America what’s the first state that comes to mind? That’s right Texas. Friday Night Tykes follows the world of a youth football league. The show follows parents, players, and coaches of different teams as they try to compete for a championship.

Friday Night Tykes is unintentionally funny because of how seriously it takes itself. Keep in mind that this is little league football we’re talking about. These coaches are so fired up and overly passionate to the point where it’s weird. The coaches make the kids run drills until the kids throw up. They openly curse and let them curse as a part of their drills. They instill problematic views into the players, bro. One of the coaches said “don’t cry, that's a women’s trait, this is a man's game.” You cannot convince me that not one of these coaches has never been to jail before. They cuss out the kids when they mess up the plays or goof around on the sidelines. Ya know, stuff that kids do.
