Hood Movie Demons

This is going to be a weird blog post so beware. We’re all familiar with films like Belly, Boyz n the Hood, New Jack City, and Set It Off, right? Well, these particular types of films are something I like to call Hood Classics. Sometimes, Hood Classics can get dark when depicting scenes of crime or murder. However, Hood Classics have this weird habit of taking it too far and creating characters that become parodies of themselves. Basically, the actor goes over the top and it’s hard to take them seriously. You smell that? Yeah, that’s a Hood Movie Demon.

1. Deebo

From: Friday

We’re going to start the list off with a no brainer. Deebo is a literal monster because the actor that plays him is pretty menacing. This man is like a gangsta ass Solomon Grundy or a hood ass Hulk. Craig was about to shoot him in the film’s climax and I don’t blame him bruh. Like, put this man down.

2. O-Dog

From: Menace II Society

Menace II Society opens with O-Dog committing a double murder and robbery. That's our introduction to this character. Then, he takes the tape of the murder and flauts it around the hood like he’s some kind of movie star. O-Dog is the Menace II Society bro. If NBA Youngboy’s music had a body, this is what it would look like. The police never caught him either. He’s a bad influence on Caine too, don’t @ me. I wonder what his body count is.

3. Joe

From: Daddy’s Little Girls

Joe is a different kind of evil. This man has no morals at all. He’s willing to terrorize little girls and a man trying to get custody of his kids. Joe has men beaten in front of these little girls and mocks Idris Elba and his wife beater after his mother dies. Like, bruh chill lmao.

4. Bishop

From: Juice

This kid was scary bro. Juice took a turning point once they got a gun, like it became a scary movie. Bishop went on a straight up killing spree. This guy shot all of his friends bro. Someone get him some help! Y'all can’t report him to a guidance counselor or something? I think the fact that Bishop knew he was crazy, made it even more haunting. This kid needs prayer and a hug.

5. Tay-K(Bonus)

We all know the legend of Tay-K. The one who did the race. The song still slaps, but the bars are uhhhhh...something. Tay-K was convicted of several crimes including murder. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m definitely listening to his songs differently now. He shot the music video for his song, ‘The Race’, while on the run from the FBI after being wanted for murder. In the video, he can be seen posing with his own wanted posters...like actual wanted posters. Listen to some of his songs and keep in mind what he’s done, he needed to be taken off the streets.
