While shopping with his daughter, Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot gets arrested by Batman.
This scene is horrible. It makes me want to kick a baby. I don’t know where to start. The acting is awful. The child actor here sounds like she’s just reading her lines with no emotion. Will Smith is usually an emotionally charged actor but he’s just stale here. When he says “That’s not true, that’s a lie.” I had to pause the scene. The direction is horrible. I’m getting mad just talking about it.
So, Batman shows up and says “I don’t want to do this in front of your daughter.” Then he proceeds to beat up Deadshot...in front of his daughter. So what was the point of saying that Batman? Also, Batman would never do that. That poor little girl didn’t need to see her father get beaten and arrested. Kinda feels like Batman is the villain here. Even when Deadshot’s daughter shields Batman from a gun, her acting is STILL BLAND. She’s “crying” but it looks so faaaaake. Also, why would Batman let this 11 year old girl do this? Isn’t he supposed to protect people? What if Deadshot fired the gun and didn’t think twice about it, killing his daughter. Was Deadshot going to murder Batman infront of his daughter? He just told her that he doesn’t kill people, so that was a lie. Deadshot is a bad father. This girl is going to need therapy and foster care. What do you think?
